Announced in May 2006, the Polaroid i1032 is a compact 10 megapixel digital camera with a 3x Optical/4x Digital zoom lens and a 2.4″ LCD display. The 3x optical zoom lens is equivalent to 35 - 105mm on a 35mm camera.

The Polaroid i1032 is available from around £125.99, this makes it good value for money for an compact digital camera. The camera is enclosed in a sturdy metal body and is available in silver only. It can record video in 640×480, 320×240, or 160×128 resolution at 30fps with sound. It can also function as a sound only recorder.

Polaroid is supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the US by releasing four of their point and shoot digital cameras in pink hues.The four models, the a520M, i533P, i639M, and i733LP come in pink, light pink, and bright magenta.

All four P&S models are available in pink, light pink, and magenta (similar to the trio of RAZR hues), house 16MB of internal memory, and support SD cards of all sizes. The a520M gets it started with a 5.1 megapixel sensor, 2-inch LCD, hardly useful 4x digital zoom, and an AVI movie mode, while the i533P steps it up by including a 2.5-inch display, much more worthwhile 3x optical zoom, AVI / MPEG-4 video capability, and video / audio outs. Polaroid Japan has today announced an entry level pocketable five megapixel “a520” digital camera. First-time digital camera users will appreciate the Polaroid a520 camera’s simple operations. Individual buttons for shooting, reviewing and deleting images are placed on the body of the camera in such a way that frequently used functions can be easily accessed.
