Panasonic FX07We love everything limited and we’re quite sure you’ll like this Lumix FX07 which comes in five unique designs.

Mind you, there are only 100 pieces for each make. The cameras are coated with a special lacquer finish and packed in a specially made paulownia wood box, Fareastgizmos wrote. Beyond that, technical specifications remain similar to the, erm, Panasonic FX07, i.e. 7 megapixels, 3.6x optical zoom, 28mm wide-angle lens and whatnots. There’s a price to pay, though, like every other toy that allows you to be one of the select few to own one. [Read more…]

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ7 receives a DIWA Gold Award

Posted in Panasonic on 11-20-2006

Panasonic DMC FZ7 Digital CameraAt a time when the sales of digital single-lens reflex cameras are booming, it is a relief to see that the “megazoom” class too undergoes continuous development. Panasonic is a leading brand in this field and their LUMIX DMC-FZ7 is a perfect example that with a fast 12x zoom lens, virtually any photographic challenge can be overcome without the need for interchangeable lenses. Moreover, the camera is a far cheaper option than any D-SLR package.

DIWA (Digital Imaging Websites Association), a world-wide organization of collaborating websites, today has the pleasure of announcing a DIWA Gold Award to the Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ7 digital “megazoom” camera.

There are many reasons why a “megazoom” camera is a better choice than a D-SLR. One of the key reasons is in fact the LUMIX FZ7. There isn’t a reflex camera that comes with a 12x zoom lens as standard, and certainly not with f/2.8-3.3 brightness, nor with world-renowned LEICA quality, built-in optical image stabilizer (MEGA O.I.S) or 5 cm close-ups at wide angle and 1 m at telephoto. Review: Panasonic DMC FX07

Panasonic DMC FX07 Digital CameraThe Panasonic DMC FX07 is a seven megapixel digital camera with a 3.6x optical zoom lens. The lens is in fact the feature that makes the Panasonic DMC FX07 different to the vast majority of digital cameras. This is because it is a wide angle lens.

A wide angle lens is ideal if you are planning to take a large number of landscape, architectural, interior or group shots. This is because the wide angle allows you to squeeze more width into each photo.

The Panasonic DMC FX07 also offers image stabilisation. This is also quite rare in a camera with a standard length zoom lens. [Read more…]

Review: Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2

Posted in Panasonic on 10-09-2006

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 Digital CameraThe Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 is the successor to the Lumix LX1, which was the first digital still camera with a genuine 16:9 widescreen sensor. The new Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 remains a native widescreen model, and features several enhancements including the obligatory increase in resolution from 8.4 to 10.2 Megapixels.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2 is very much a camera of two halves. In use, it can be an absolute dream with its wide lens, sensor and screen inspiring your creative side, and the decent build quality and high level of manual control satisfying the demands of enthusiasts. In these and many other respects it’s an excellent product. It’s only once you get home and take a closer look at the images that you realise anything shot above 200 ISO is severely compromised by noise reduction and processing [Read more…]
