Fujifilm has announced the FinePix A800, the first model in Fujifilm’s A-Series line-up to sport an eight-MegaPixel Super CCD Sensor and the first to incorporate light sensitivities of up to ISO 800 at full resolution. The Fujfilm Finepix A800 also has a 3x optical zoom , ISO range of 100-800 and a nice large 2.5 inch LCD display.

The Fujfilm Finepix A800 comes complete with 12 megabytes of internal memory and xD card slot but it is also compatible with SD cards (something new for Fujifilm). It’s powered by AA bateries and measures 96.5 x 61.0 x 30.5mm (weighs 150 grams). [Read more…]

Fujifilm announces the new 8 megapixels digital camera, the FinePix F40fd with a 3x Optical Zoom and 2.5 inch LCD display.

The F40fd is a compact, highly portable and stylish digital camera and it has ISO of up to 1600 (and up to 2000 in some modes), a shutter speed range of between 3 and 1/2000 second, has 10 megabytes of internal memory, face detection technology and both xD and SD cards.

The Fujifilm FinePix F40fd will be available in 3 colors (silver, blue, gunmetal) starting March this year for a price of $299. [Read more…]

Fujifilm does it again with the follow-up to the popular S3 Pro UVIR camera, the Fujifilm Finepix IS-1.

TheIS-1 is a specially modified Neo-SLR digital camera with a built-in 10.7X zoom that helps reduce dust common in interchangeable lens SLR’s. Fujifilm Finepix IS-1 is more suited to the point and shoot needs of of forensic or scientific photographers, yet retains some of the basic features that made the S3 Pro UVIR so popular.

The technology designed into the Fujifilm IS-1 was initially designed for traditional visible wavelength imagery. However, the natural low noise signature of the Fujifilm Super CCD produces high quality high resolution images within a limited band of Visual to Infrared. Fujifilm today announced the 6-megapixel Finepix A610 digital camera featuring Fujifilm’s Super CCD sensor, large 2.5″ LCD, Fujinon 3x optical zoom lens, and automatic ISO setting up to 400 with low noise.

The FinePix A610 will debut in March 2007 with a retail price of $129.00

As you read on this blog, the Finepix S5 Pro was announced back in September, but Fujifilm has finally finalized the specifications page and the pricing for this professional digital SLR.

The new FinePix S5 Pro is an important step in continuing with the company’s goals for achieving professional DSLR image quality consistent with Fujifilm’s professional film heritage.

Say hello to the new Fuji FinePix Z5fd slim digital camera from FujiFilm, incorporating face detection feature and high sensitivities of up to ISO 1600 for low-light photography. This 6.3 megapixel camera from Fuji is enhanced with Image Intelligence processing software for optimal face detection.

The face detection technology made an appearance with the FinePix S6000fd, but it was anything but slim. But with the Fuji FinePix Z5fd, you can have a slim one in your pocket. It also comes with i-flash, the intelligent flash system from Fuji. The camera features a 2.5″ preview LCD.

Fuji FinePix Z5fd can also be configured to take two pictures in quick succession, one without flash and one with i-flash. Another interesting feature on the Fuji FinePix Z5fd is the inclusion of IrSimple, a high-speed infrared communication facility that lets you upload photos from the camera onto a compatible cell phone - and then send it as an MMS or upload it to your favorite photo site. Another new digital camera from Fuji for the outdoorsy types: check out the FujiFilm FinePix BIGJOB HD-3W camera with a neat waterproof/dustproof design and big 3″ preview LCD. The HD-3W offers 3x optical zoom.

The HD-3W, offering all of 6 megapixels in image resolution, is equipped with a 28mm~84mm wide-angle lens for a bigger picture. High sensitivity up to ISO 1600 is supported on this baby. Geared for rough weather, the camera comes with a rubber grip.

On-board, Fuji has fit in approximately 27MB of memory - which means as many as 67 images at 1280×960 pixel resolution can be stored on the camera. As is the norm with Fuji, this camera takes in xD Picture Cards. [Read more…]

Fuji seems to be in a nostalgic mode. The company recently unveiled the new Klasse W compact film (that’s right, not digital) camera featuring a 28mm F2.8 lens that matches an SLR camera in image quality.

Made of aluminum alloy, the Fuji Klasse W, true to its name, is available in a classy design. The first generation Klasse cameras, unveiled way back in 2001, featured a 38mm F2.6 lens and was a hit with amateur and pro photographers alike.

Fujifilm has just launched another high-spec camera in its semi-pro S series, the new Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd.

It fits into the range between the soon-to-be-replaced S9500 and the lower spec S5600 although it’s far closer to the higher end of the scale. It inherits many features from the S9500, most notably that excellent f2.8-f4.9, 10.7x optical zoom lens.

It’s also about the same size and weight as the S9500, in fact it’s a couple of millimetres wider and taller, although it is a little lighter. In other words, the Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd is far closer in size, shape and weight to a digital SLR than to most other fixed-lens cameras. [Read more…]
